one lb of anything is 454 grams... so, 350 / 454 = 0.77 lb. If 1 lb = 16 ounces, 0.77 x 16 = 12.3 ounces... 350 g of beef roughly equals to 12 ounces

0.77 lbs (so 3/4 lb is close enough)

There are 2.2 lbs per 1000 grams

(350/1000) x 2.2 = 0.77 lbs
