I've never heard that one but my mother always said, "little pictures have big ears" Kind of the same so it is entirely possible your Mom just did her own thing. Cute phrase anyway but it didnt take my kids long to understand that it meant I didnt want them to hear something.

That's what I love about families, the traditions and humor. Our family is a little on the strange side, so we're always coming up with new words, sayings, and such. One of our sayings is like "an apple a day, keeps the doctor away". It is, "A gizzard a day makes you full of gizzards".
