The American Revolution, the Spanish-American War, the American Civil War, WWI, and WWII.

Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and the current war in Iraq are not declared wars.

I think that's right. If not, then I wasted 4 long years on college.

Actually the FIVE declared American wars are:

The War of 1812.
The Mexican War.
The Spanish American War.
World War I.
World War II.

They don't declare wars because then braches of government would have to be involved.

WWI and WWII aren't exactly declared wars because those wouldn't be world wars if all the superpowers weren't involved.
