recently i have been having clear urine... and when it does have color it's very light. is something wrong?

Most of the poster here are stating the most likely case, that is you are hydrating yourself better. However, there are diseased which cause clear (dilute) urine including kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, and diabetes insipidus. In most cases you also would be very thristy, and probably have other symptoms like fatigue, irritability etc. If you are concerned you definately should see a doctor.

Maybe you're drinking more water or clear liquids than normal and your urine is reflecting that?
Most changes in urine color are only temporary and can be caused by food, drink or medications that you may be taking. Sometimes, an abnormal urine color can indicate that something serious is going on, so if you're concerned about the color, or if you notice blood in it - or an extreme color change lasts for more than a day or so, consult your doctor.
Urine is made up of water and waste products that have been filtered by the kidneys. Its natural yellow color is due to excretion of urochrome, a pigment from blood. Depending on the amount of fluids you drink, your urine can range in color from almost clear (diluted) to dark orange (concentrated).
Check with your doctor if you're worried.

Absolutely not, clear urine is a very good sign. It means that your body if hydrated and it actually is a light straw color. Urine that happens to be dark amber means that that person may be developing kidney problems or just need to drink more water or clear fluids. Any other color urine is abnormal and needs to be check out by your primary care physician unless your taking certain medication that makes it change color.

Have you been drinking a lot of water, or have recently been drinking alcohol or taking a medication or herbal supplement that has a diuretic (making you urinate and eliminate water) effect? This may be the reason your urine is clear. Usually when your urine is lighter and clearer it is because you are excreting mostly water and the other components of urine are so diluted by the volume of water. This especially is the case for urobilinogen, the component of urine that gives it the yellow color.

No actually from what I know, having clear urine is good... The clearer your urine, the better... You most likely have been drinking a good amount of water lately... Nothing to worry about, it's best to have the clearest urine as possible...

You are very well hydrated. Healthy urine is light, almost clear. There are some vitamins and medicines which can color urine, but assuming that you are not using any of them, your urine should be almost clear.

Clear urine usually indicates that you are well hydrated, which is a good thing. However, if you are experiencing any other out of the ordinary symptoms recently, you should see a doctor.

Not at all. Urine, believe it or not, should be clear. Since it is like 98% water. If it is colored, that means you need to drink more water.

NO nothing is wrong it just means that you have been drinking lots of water, or your system is clean! I drink a ton of water a day and my urine is clear sometimes so it is just fine!
