Sculpture - the Parthenon's pediments and metopes.
Pen and ink - Leonardo's "A Lily," ca. 1475.
Conceptual - Christo's "The Pont Neuf Wrapped," 1985.
Architectural - Le Corbusier, Chapel of Notre-Dame-du-Haut.

Surrealism,( fantasy art,) Realism , (The dutch Masters ,Renoir,)
Illustration,( Norman Rockwell and Children's book art) and last but not least Impressionism ( Monet ) These are just some examples of my favorites to look at.

I love impressionistic paintings by Nicholet Fechin. From a distance his paintings look realistic but up close they look abstract. He used primary colors laid next to each other to create the color he needed and as you view the painting, your mind blends the colors (therefore involving you, the viewer, in the painting.) He also painted with such bravado that he sometimes scared his models. His paintings radiate that energy. I also paint this way myself.

i like abstract art that shows raw emotion,
and on the other hand i love a VERY well proportioned and balanced composition (as in size, color, number of things in the painting and how they relate to each other, etc)

i like to look at all art that is visual.
i've taken an intrest in looking at and studying watercolor work lately, but it will pass, what really fascinates me is surrealism and abstract...i do abstract work...but dali's surrealism and echer's work fascinate me...

found-object works in all sizes
large outdoor pieces of sculpture
non-objective highly textured large paintings
super realism of specific subject matter

I love post impressionistic style, abstract, photo realism, and comics. (It's art too!) Oh! and surrealism!
