I slept for 18 hours after a big night on the town. I also missed all my lectures at University. Anyways, now my back is really killing. Why is this?

the 18 hours will not help your back, you may also be dehydrated, make sure you drink (sip) a litre or 2 of liquid in the next few hours, take a couple of tylenols. and here is your mom talking at you "let that be a lesson". Sorry

Night on the town - Hydrate. Sore - it is possible you slept so soundly that you did not turn like you naturally should which would cause the muscles to be more sore than normal - a swig of molasses usually will help. If working at mobility it does not improve consider seeing a chiropractor that is a muscle specialist, Md's will usually only give you a muscle relaxer not fix the underlying problem.

It hurts because you have been in bed for 18 hours..I would be hurting all over my body if I had been in bed for 18 hours....Its because you have been in the same spot and the body got sore ,the back is the first to hurt. After you get up and move around for awhile you will be fine..Take a couple of tylenol...
