yep, they sure can!!! Training dogs comes easy to specialised trainers. It's all about positive reinforcement! Animals act better to positive reinforcement than any other way of training!

Yes, animal trainers can make animals appear to act aggressive without making the dog mad. If the animal were truly angry, he would pose a danger to the human actors and other people on the set.

My brother in law went to school at EATM, Exotic Animal Training and Management in Moorpark, then worked for Birds & Animals Unlimited for years doing TV, Movies and the stage show at Universal in California.
No, the animals are not made angry. They train the dog to get the response by using a lot of different tools. Peanut butter is used extensively for teeth baring, and for having a dog look as if it is attacking a human.
You really can't control an animal that is angry, it is counterproductive.
However, teaching a husky to fetch a ball takes a lot of work, usually.

Yes. If you take a behavior that a dog has and give it word or command to go along with it, they will do it on command. They aren't making the dogs angry, they are very well trained.

Aren't all actors professional pretenders?
Trainers use fill-ins for different dog scenes.
Do you think Lassie really fought the mountain lion that lunged out at Timmy??? There are look alikes that do the dirty scenes.
Hollywood trainers train dogs to react to almost any humane command for positive food rewards.
Saw it with my own eyes.

Yes they can be trained to act aggressive and do even more. Animals are smarter than many think. I have a cat and bird that love to ham it up in front of the camera.

Well I don't really think so, all the animal trainers do is train the dogs how to express that "emotion", then they tell them to do it off stage, and when they do it, they give them a treat! :)

Yes. Like humans, when they are trained to do something they are apt to do it well. That is unless they are rebellious. But look at dogs like Lassie, Beethoven and several others...they did very well.
