I am 23 yrs old and married.. with 1 son... I only made about $7,500 last yr. and Federal withhold was around $260... what will my return look like found a really good and helpful site but lost it...

Spouce made nothing... we live in a small cheap town where its easy to live.. so that was total income

Do NOT forget about the EIC (Earned Income Credit). You can get a lot more than $260 back from the government because of it.

Around $2559 for Earned Income Credit, plus you should get back the $260 that was withheld, so your estimate is pretty close.

What your return will look like will depend upon how much money your spouse made as you should be filing a joint return.

If you have a VITA or AARP Tax Aide program in your area, you can probably get your return done for free.
