I would think that you could pull up bankruptcy papers through the internet for free instead of somebody wanting to charge you money for something that you should have access to.

You have to get the trustee's name that was in charge of the filing, if you, then you can call them and they will print them out for free.

Your attorney should have a copy in your file of the discharge, but if the attorney wants to go online to get it, the court does charge them a fee to use the PACER website. (Its a court docket site that has all your papers on it). So if its a really old case, the only way to get a copy is to go online and thats why they charge you.

I you physically enter the courts records office, you should be able to view the records. They will probably charge a fee to copy them.

You contact IRS they should be able to get you a copy.
