I mix hot sauce in my creamy salad dressings, then put it on the salads.
You just gave me an idea. Try it, and see if you like it:
1.5 teaspoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of hot sauce (vinegar based)
dash of salt
Fresh chopped cilantro, to taste
Mix it up and see how it tastes!

Personal taste will prevail in this. It can work, not everyone will like it. There are such things like taco salads, and chef salads that often have some sort of sauce option. Good luck

Your cooking so do it your way. I use fresh jalapenos mostly from the tip up where it's milder. You can put them chopped on the side so every one can adjust to their own taste. The inside seeds and the whitish pulp is where the hot is. They say to cut it out, but save it for some beans or chili. Why buy hot peppers that aren't hot?

Instead of using hot sauce (which is fine, I've done it), I like to chop up a habanero pepper and put it on my salad!

Hey, if you like it and want it in your salad, then have it in there! Your the one going to eat it. They have spicy chicken salads and that's all they do to it. Why not?

Why don't you try it and see. You can put whatever you want in a salad.
