Hopefully you have the right type of hair to do this. It may end up looking really greasy in the end. Oil and water don't mix so the oil likes to cling to your hair. Ewww. Do yourself a favor and use a deep conditioner! It won't weigh it down. If it's from a salon, it should be water soluble so it'll rinse right out.
Good luck!
Oh..BTW...you would do any conditioner on wet hair. If your hair's really dry, leave it in overnight, if you can. It will be heavy for tommorrow so ya might wanna just leave it in for 20 minutes or so with hot, wet towels wrapped around your head. Be sure to wrap your head in a plastic bag first, then the towels.
Good Luck!

Apply oil on dry hair and then dampen it a little bit. Use a comb to distribute the oil and the water evenly. Make sure you don't use too much oil otherwise it becomes really difficult to remove the excess oil.

Your hair has to be wet and the oil has to be heated in luke warm water for a couple of minutes. make sure you rinse and shampoo really well!
