I have had an affair with a married man for sex and it was great. His marriage sucked but he felt he was stuck financially (cheaper to keep her) and I did not have time for a true relationship and did not want to "care for a man". So it worked for us. Was it the right thing to do, of course not. I looked at it as if not me it would be someone else, so why not. Personally I would never cheat on my husband. I think if it is that bad get out. There are advantages to being with a married man, no laundry, eats at home, you can park in your garage, if you don't want to deal with anyone you don't have to. He does not "own" you. The bad part is if your emotions get in the way you are going to get hurt! I know that this will probably trigger some angry women but you wanted truth and here is my perspective on affairs.

HEYO!!!!
I am both the victim of my x cheating on me almost every 2 months over 6 years, but I then became the 1 to cheat on my next partner!!
He was shutting me out & someone else offered me attention & affacetion. I accepted, except I soon reaslised it wasn't what I wanted & told my boyf I'd cheated on him & then went up the rd & told my other man I wasn't interested anymore.
So, no it didn't do me any favours, but made me realise how I felt.

I think the people that ask those types of questions about affairs are seriously dumb because they aren't smart enough to figure out it's wrong affairs do no one any good and all the people that complain about them are people that have nothing better to do wit their lives

'Where have we all gone?'
We are in hiding.
On the whole, having 'affairs' has had positive effects for me in a number of ways. However, to do it or not to do it is very personal decision and contains a myriad of small contributing reasons for it.
A great deal of damage 'can' be done by it also.
Like marriage itself, it's best not to undertake such a journey or adventure lightly.

well i know someone who did it, and she said it was the best thing she could do.. of course her husband never found out, but she said she allowed her self to feel things her husband did not allow her to. She is still married and has ended the affair but she don't regret it. she said it even made her marriage more interesting.

I'm definitely not monogamous and haven't been for years but i can honestly say that i'd love to meet someone who I could commit to and not be with anyone else. that's the dream, i just haven't met that person yet.

I haven't had an affair, but I cheated on more than one occasion. It didn't do any harm and it didn't do any good, but I know that I did it because I wasn't happy in my relationship.

i've been on the other end of an affair and it really hurts when you find out.. there's no words to adequately describe how it feels, its something the english language fails in quite badly...
