I'm a recent graduate of a technical school and I got my degree in Electronic and communications. Over the course of my classes, I've learned different mathematical formulas and theory. But now I forgot most of them. Does an engineer of electronics ever actually use these formulas in the work field??

Yes, but you are not expected to have them memorized. Hopefully you kept your books or else I see a trip to Borders in your future.
