Some people do not react well to Neutrogena. Phisoderm makes a 2% salicylic acid acne wash that is very gentle. The key it to leave any salycylic or glycolic acid wash on for at least 2 minutes to give it time to penetrate and break the bad stuff up. Cetaphil also has a bar soap for acne that is very good. He may even want to use them in combination. If his pimples are consistant, you should consider taking him to a dermatologist. They have awesome stuff now I wish they had when I was a teenager!

There's a hypoalligenic soap I used as a child called "Phisoderm" Now they have Phisodan, and other products, but this soap has an antibacterial like cleansing and it's easy on the skin. It's orgionally made for those with allergies and sensitive skin, but yet does the work. The also now have a Phisoderm Acne soap.

i suggest cetaphil... it is really gentle and is good on either dry or oily skin. the facewash anyways..i'm not too sure about the lotion. if he has normal to dry skin cetaphil lotion is pretty good, but if he has oily skin it might be a bit too much. perhaps u can try lotion from Noxema or Nivea i believe they have men's stuff.

good luck

He should try St.Ives cleanser, it works really well with all types of skin. Clears it up in like less than a week!

Noxema every night then alcohol once a week (tho I do it every time i wash). Tell him to try not to rub the area of his pimples cos its gonna add more germs and dirt and it'll take longer and they'll get bigger. oh! and remember the veggies, lotsa water and not so many sodas.

One solution would be to stop using the Neutrogena so much.
