Take the initiative to talk to him; so he could open up more and let you in. Ask him out. How did you mess it up? Dont be rushy. You might freak him out. It is not over, you just need to put a move. Sounds like he isn't interested. The more you push to be with him, the more he'll pull to get away.
He knows you are interested, now relax and hope he comes around. Just make sure to say hi and compliment him regularly, compliments ALWAYS go over well, the'll let him know youre interested without making you look like a stalker.

if you really like him show him you are a mature person and go up to him, ask him who he like the dance or if you have him in any of your class's ask him if he understood the assignment. if you are going to be scared every time you like some one i hope you enjoy the lonely life... its not the old days where the boy when up to the girl... DO IT go up to him, maybe he heard your friends saying you like him, but you don't know if he thought it was a joke or something... go up to him and start up a conversation.. you never know he might like you too.

Umm....I'm lost. What do you need advice on? That he doesn't talk to you anymore? He's probably just shy. Give it some time. Invite him to the movies with your friends or something. (PLEASE PLEASE make sure your friends are not all girls!)
