My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 2 years. He lives w/ me & we have a 5 month old son 2gether. For some reason i cant talk 2 him about anything without him getting angry, yelling, and threatening to leave. Its starting to become an every week thing. Either we ignore each other or fight. I dont know what ive done, if anything to make him have this attitude. One minute he is hugging me and kissing me on my neck and 5 mins later he is yelling at me like im a child. I can calmly tell him i dont like it when he talks to me like im a child and that becomes a fight! Im almost at the point of throwing in the towel, i dont know what to do anymore. Please Help!

One of my good friends is in almost this exact situation (she's due any day now instead of already having a child).

It sounds like he doesn't know how to respect you and treat you like an equal. If talking to him doesn't work, maybe outside intervention is necessary. My advice is to see a therapist, they can help you two communicate better and find out what's really wrong. Or, just have a friend talk to him, something as simple as "Yo man...what you're doing to your girl ain't right"

If you don't do something, it will escalate. My friend is in the exact situation, and it's now escalated to physical violence. She refuses my help though because she says it's for the good of their child...but it's the exact opposite. A child raised to see daddy disrespecting mommy will have the same habits towards others. You're son could grow up thinking that's how he's supposed to treat women.

In short, do something now, get help...before it escalates further.

Something is obviously going on with him and he is not ready to talk to you about it. His mood swings could be related to almost anything. You have a choice, either put up with it or move on. Sounds to me there may be drugs involved.
