I had the same problem but one day a stylist made my hair look so straight and silky, I never thought it could look that way. When you blow dry your hair, be careful to blow dry along the way the hair grows or else it makes it look frizzier. I use an ionic blow dryer. It's not all you need but every little bit helps. Then you can use a ceramic flat iron to smooth out your hair (after it is dry). For hair products, use something that has silicones but use it sparingly or it can look oily instead of sleek. I would also recommend an anti-static boar bristle brush because it is more gentle for your hair and better for your scalp.
The products I use:
Conair Ionic hair dryer
Citre Shine Shine Mist, Anti-Frizz Spray Laminator
Chi Ceramic Flat Iron by Farouk (this one is kind of expensive but there are many cheaper ceramic flat irons)
Anti-static boar bristle brush

I am a beautician. Here is what you do....Get some good shampoo and conditioner. The best I have found so far is bed head or cat walk. They are 2 for $20.00. Trust me it does make a difference. Then when you dry your hair you have to apply a good smoothing serum like paul mitchell. Section your hair off and dry it with a brush by small sections. Then get a good flat iron and again section off your hair and take your time ironing it out. At the end you could even add a little more smoothing serum. Trust me you will be happy!!!!!!!!!!

A flat iron would do the trick. I use a flat iron between relaxers and they are great. I only relaxed my hair every 2 to 3 months. But keep in mind that excess heat is not good for the hair. Wash the hair and flat iron once a week. Wrap the hair at night and tie with a silk or satin scarf and comb down in the morning. No need to use heat on the hair if you do this every night.

First off use a light conditioner, I use the cheap Suave because its really light and it doesn't leave your hair greasy. Also buy a good straightener, I bought mine for $40 at Sally's Wal-Mart also has some good ones, make sure to get a fat straightener, the skinny ones do not work on thick hair. Don't use any grease or any product on your hair. Your hair grows no matter what, split ends don't affect how hair grows either, your hair grows from the scalp not the bottom of the hair.

u need a ceramic iron. try the CHI.. it's kinda expensive but it works great. just make sure ur hair is conditioned well. they also have a little bottle of serum to protect hair from heat.
if ur hair is not too curly, u can get away w/ a cheaper ceramic iron. just make sure it is ceramic! :)
