Suicide NEVER is the only way out of any situation: sometimes when a person is in so much pain, he/she cannot see other ways and alternatives. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they don't exist. When you look back over time and experience, you can see them threading their way thru your life. But if you are a suicide you don't get the chance to look back and see them- you are gone- and all the patterns of life that had you woven into them no longer exist.
Sorry you are in such pain, but I am even sorrier that you do not want to help yourself. That, to me, is sorrier than pain.
I once thought my death was the only way to end my pain. I could see no way out. With help, I worked my way out of the pain and learned to value myself. My life did not go the way I wished it to, but I continued to value myself and move myself forward. I have wonderful children who would not be here if I had died. I have done good works in the world and left my mark upon it. Now, at 51, I finally was able to go to graduate school and will have my doctorate in June. Sometimes I wonder if other people notice the scars on my wrists because no one has ever asked me about them in all these years. It's a curious thing. I always felt no one understood me. Now I think, if they don't understand me, who cares? I am me and I do what my spirit moves me to do.
But if I did not have help forced upon me I would not be here, and the rest of the world would be a very different place without me. I have made a lot of ripples.
Your existence, your breath, and your pain affect far more people that you can possibly dream. But only you can make your choices. I hope you choose life. The other options and alternatives to pain are there- your inner vision is blurred and you are not seeing them. But they are there and they are calling out to you.
'Se do bheatha agus beannacti, inion.

I hope you read all these answers because there are some good ones. I've personally never felt suicidal or anything like that, but my best friend has and so has one of my ex-bf's. I know how they felt. You can NEVER go back. NEVER. Sure, as long as you want to, you can still change your mind, but once you decide to do it, it's over. Have you ever thought about after death? Have you decided what you believe? There are so many better solutions. If it's other people and other things that are making you upset, get away from them. You could start a hobby that becomes a passion to take your mind off things. If suicide was the only way out.....well, I don't believe that's possible. And if it were, I'd make another way out. I REALLY REALLY hope everything works out for you. I will pray for you. Good luck and God Bless.
PS. I have a feeling you're not just in a rut or going through some temporary depression from one thing. I have the feeling you have been through some unusual circumstances and your situation has been going on for a long time. I really hope you don't choose suicide. I'll pray for you every night.

Emo is just a trend, they whine about how "depressed" they are, even though they have everything they want in life, and how they hate themselves, when they really dont, just for attention. That's why people make fun of them.
But you're right, suicide and self mutilation aren't funny. Some people just can't pull themselves together, and they feel like nobody can understand what they're going through, so they think that suicide is the only way out. It's very sad, I wish people would just give life another chance and hope that it might get better.

Life IS hard, and can be SO hard that it seems unbearable, but suicide is NEVER the only way out!! I understand the feeling of wanting the pain to stop...I have been there myself.
The thing to tell yourself is that no one knows your pain like you do, and you are the BEST person there is to find the help that YOU need.
There are other people who have been through really bad stuff....probably none that have been through exactly the same as you...but some having gone through worse...and some who have had it easier than you. Find the ones who have survived worse, and talk to them. Ask them how they did it!
My friend June has been through more than I can imagine surviving. Her brother killed two people, and went to prison, leaving his wife and kids home alone, then her parents got divorced, and their house burned down. Then her other brother got killed in a logging accident, and then she was walking home from work and got kidnapped by a stranger, and raped at knife point.
I can't imagine how she gets up in the morning, and keeps going all day. I asked her, and she said that at first, she did it for her baby. She got up each morning, and took one breath at a time, and tried to get through the first minute, and then the second minute, and she talked and talked and talked and grieved and grieved until she could go ten minutes without thinking about it, and then it was an hour, and she didn't have to think about breathing...pretty soon a day went by, and then another.
She has two kids now, and a wonderful boyfriend, and LOTS of happy moments! They are not ALL happy, but she has so much to live for, and she soon came to a time that it was worth surviving for HER, and not just for her kids!
Life IS worth living...spend your time looking for something good to hang onto, and someone (especially yourself), who is worth hanging on for...
Suicide and self mutilation is NOT funny....my daughter (8yo) is a cutter. Her bio parents abused her and traded her to the neighbors for money to play bingo. There is NOTHING about what we've been through that I would consider comical, or worth mocking...unfortunately, not everyone understands that...stay away from small people!! Surround yourself with people who support you and lift you up. If you don't have any of those...make that your next project!
Take care of yourself...you deserve it!!

You are right ,this is a serious issue.I think I know how that feels. I mean i have been to a certain point in my life where i lost everything. Both of my sons were taken from me a two month old and an eight year old. AT this same time i was evicted from my condo, and my husband was sent to prison for murder.I believed that there was simply no reason to f---ing live.In my head i had nothing .Obviously im still here, still facing every day no fighting every day. That is exactly what it is ...a Fight! I guess the reason I didn't die was (and this may sound stupid) my cat. I had decided to die and this cat came up to me with blood all over him. I looked at him and he had the same look I had in my eyes. Fear lonliness and pain. I took him to the vet ,he'd been tortured by someone. So this is why i decided i had to live . I dont know this may or may not help you but i think you just have to find a reason to go on living. You know, a purpous.I f you feel you have no reason or nothing to live for just look a little harder a little further out of the obvious, and you might be surprised at what youll find. I'll pray for you ,good luck! ALANNA

No, I don't think suicide and self mutilation is funny. I am not sure what you want us to say...you seem to be asking for help and yet you say "i dont need crap about you need help"...Dr Phil would say "Is what you are doing now ...Is it working for you?"...Well? Is it? Doesn't sound like it. Sounds like you are depressed and in pain and anguish. There must be another way out and if you talked to a friend, a relative, a school counselor, a minister, a prayer line or a suicide help line and told them the details of why you are sad, maybe they could give you a different point of view that there may be another way. I have been also sad lately, so I know it is hard to see another way out on your own.Sometimes it seems like your brain can kind of freeze up with the fear and anguish of what life deals out at you. Even this answer forum here helps me to try and put it all into words and try to help someone else...even as I am struggling to get out of this pit that I am myself in....I will say a prayer for you...please say a prayer for me too...thanks.

Out of what. Now before you get all crazy, im being serious. Specify yourself. The only reason anyone would feel like committing suicide as a kid or teen is depression. Oh and you can't report someone for saying something along the lines of "kid, life can't be that hard". It's not fair. Saying you don't want crap is only inviting it. Get a phyciatrist and dont post this question, or one like it, again if you don't want crap. You also shouldnt judge that people are atomatically gonna get on here and call you emo or make fun of you. Like i said before it's called DEPRESSION. If you report this, you're crazy.
Anyways you'll go to hell and it just means you're giving up. You shouldn't give up. Keep going. And if you really feel suicidal and actually have the gull to do it(i doubt it), get a counselor or phychiatrist.

It is an interesting question - but how could suicide be the only way out? If you think about it - there are always at least two options available for everything. Suicide may be an option - but it certainly has a counterpart - the option to live, to make changes, to alter the current life, to find an outlet. Think about it, suicide is so final. There is no changing your mind once the act is done. So many times in life we get chances to change our minds, to do it over, to re-think it, to re-adjust it. If someone commits suicide, there is no chance for this - it is just an end. Further, suicide doesn't just effect the person who commits the act. The people who survive, who live on, are effected. Family, friends, loved one, people who have become part of your life, these people live on and wonder what happened? What went wrong? What could I have done to make a difference? For ever, as long as they live, the questions remain because there are so many things left undone and unresolved. Speaking as someone who is a survivor of a person who committed suicide, thirty years ago a good friend ended his own life, I still feel that things are unresolved and unanswered. There is an empty void in my heart where I wonder what things would have been like were he still alive and I could have a cup of coffee with him - sharing the happy times and the sad times....

True, it isn't funny, Now, to answer you, If that was the only way out than I'll rather not use it for that way out. And the word "if" is used when there is a truth to it actually happening. When you suicide and depending on what religion, you suffer 10X worst than before you suicide. When I was 15 I thought of such stupid things and I weighted being miserable for a couple years or kill myself and suffer for internity. I decided to go for the couple of years. So far I survived the teen depression and am doing great... So,, How can suicide be a way out when it's just another way to 10 X worst

Suicide and self mutilation are NOT funny. I've been there. But killing yourself is so completely final.
I don't know what to tell you other than suicide is not the only way out. You could try moving. That sucks, I know but it gets you out of your surroundings and helps you get to know other people. Or, try volunteering. Habitat For Humanity has an amazing volunteer program that you can join and see how much worse other peoples lives are. That might help a little.
