okay, I am just thinking about it. My peers don't direct my thinking. I like tattoos, I already have 2 that I put thought into. I was just curious about what others think, or their ideas to work into my own ideas. I want to do something original. Preferably Celtic. I am loving the hip idea, also is it painful there, and if so...is there anything to do to dull the pain? Thanks again in advance!!

i guess everyone has their own opinions on what is sexy. everyone says lower back tattoos are overdone, and i tend to agree, especially since i probably do 8 in my 5 day work schedule, but i am never one to judge, and sometimes, especially if it's a design i drew up (heh) they can look cool, so it doesn't matter what other people think. as far as areas i think look good tattooed on girls, i agree with the hip. but i don't mean like a little butterfly on your under wear line, i like tattoos that start on your side, and go down a little near the top of your thigh. kind of like a rib tattoo but lower and less painful. i wouldn't imagine it hurting too bad, i have a tattoo that goes from right under my armpit down to my hip, but it doesn't go any lower than that so i'm not sure how it would feel there exactly. but i can tell you that the lower down it was the less painful so i think you could handle it. after all, women are the bearer of children and usually have pretty high pain tolerance. i'm not sure how something celtic would look in that area, but that remains to be seen. also, as a twist to lower back tattoos, i like when girls have a tattoo on their lower back when it's not in the middle. when it's off to one side of the back, and kinda peeks out to the side before reaching the hip. but that's just me. i pretty much like tattoos anywhere on a girl as long as they're well done and don't look tacky and aren't of something lame. whatever you decide make sure you're doing it for you, which i'm sure you are. good luck.

The lower back is a little over done. But it's still hot if you get something meaning full. When thinking of ink that will be with you for life try to think of what matters most to you and a good idea will surely come. As far as location if you want some ideas, I like the over the hip look. Like a arch on the hip so you can see it from the front or back.

I myself have several tattoos and they all have a meaning. On women u have to be more careful simple and sexy translate to small not something that is going to cover your whole lower back but something that is going to complement your personality, figure, and style. Cute=small

Why dont u design your own?
I have 2 tattoos - one lower back, one shoulder & I designed both of mine. Im no artist, I just got some inspiration off the net & put a couple of things together to result in my own unique tattoo.
Even better if its meaningful like one of mine is, like a secret code between 2 people lol

i saw a girl who had a lion paw scratching her back, if you know what i mean with scratch marks going down. urmmm... depends what you find sexy maybe a rose or something you associate with romance i would find sexy. go to a tattoo shop with your friends i did and got some good tatoos. however you sound nice enough without a tattoo, or if you do want one remember it is for life and that bottom back is a little over done hip or top of leg looks nice.

How about a tattoo of a robot and a monkey dancing together? I think it would look cool.
If you don't like robots or monkeys how about getting your name or a word like "love" or "peace" done in calligraphic Arabic. It's a beautiful language when written down, it would mean something and it's not like getting a word written on you in English. Or perhaps the same idea but in hieroglyphics instead of Arabic?

I agree with the above, lower back tattoos are fairly old hat now and they do look fairly chavish. On top of that most birds you see in porn films always have tattoos on their lower backs!!!
Anything will look good if its original, ie. no roses or dolphins or chinese symbols...

Well maybe you can get one on your lower back or on ur hips those are really the ones that attract the molst mens and I have a tatoo on my hip and when I wear a bikini it looks cut I then am planning to get one on my lower back
