My husband recently received the approval for his tourist visa(which they had denied before once),It wasnt an easy task cause I m still not very stable economically speaking here in Argentina. His visa says that is valid through jan.19 to july 18.it says to visit inlaws 1month.I just found out I can take vacations from work in july!!!We have to be there for a month since its soooo expensive to go plus I dont know when we will have the chance to travel again. So we really got to be there a month at least!!
Do you think The US embassy can change those 6month period of travel??? For example changing it from february to end july???
I had no idea that we had this 6month date to travel in the first place and that is why this happenned!
can someone give me any insight on this?
The paper we had to fill out (the b2 tourist petition form)asked our travel date we put june like an approximate time cause we didnt know for sure. Please someone help!!

After issuing the visa, the embassy will not change it. However the US immigration officer at the port where you will enter US will have the final authority to determine - by asking a short series of question - if you can enter US and if it is for genuine tourist purpose. And he will also determine the duration you will be allowed to stay in US if you are admitted.
