I am applying for a passport and it requires a registration number from my birth certificate but I am missing?

I am missing 3 numbers from the birth certificate will they still accept this or will I have to apply for new birth certificate ?

Some birth certificates are issued before the registration number has been stamped. It shouldn't be a problem when getting a passport, but just in case, order a new one from www.vitalchek.com.

Probably not. You can just go in to the County Recorder's office and pick it up on the same day, if you live in or near the same county that you were born in.
