I've used both, and I prefer turbo tax.

if you're just doing a 1040 EZ, they are both very simple.

if you are doing anything more complicated, I like turbo tax, I used it in 04, used h & r in 05, and I'm back to Turbo for my 06 taxes, it's pretty simple and easy...

if its just a 1040 ez, buy which ever one is cheapest, or borrow and split it from a friend.

I am a faithful H & R Block customer. I have been going to them since 1978. My taxes are very complicated. Last year, the paper copy of my returns was 35 pages long. I could not have done it myself.
I tried Turbo Tax a few years ago when I got the software free with my computer. I could not get beyond inputting my data.

I use Turbo Tax and it's great. It asks you step by step questions about your personal information, income, and deductions. It also performs a review of the return when you are finished. I highly recommend it!
