Neither your brain is simply choosing to filter out outside stimulus (IE anything you can see with your eyes) to help you concentrate better...so you are putting all your energy into thought rather than using some of it on vision.

----------details---------------------

This may look odd and anti-social, but it is not a disorder just a bi-product of hard thought. Other bi-products may include headaches from lack of blood sugar for thought and slower reaction time as synapses in your mind are worn out from connecting and exchanging information.

But, keep up the good work, man....if you are pushing yourself to concentrate enough to do that you must be an excellent worker...just don't think hard for more than 4 hours on end...it can decrease your productivity as your synapses get tired.

Are you saying you can not NOT close your eyes when you are asked a quesiton?

There is no neurological disorder that can selectively react to outside stimuli. It has to be some type of behavior that you are making either conciously or subconsciously. So no it is not a brain disorder.

usually you would control wheather you have your eyes open or closed... if it isn't controlable for you it could be some kind of disorder. good luck with that!
