trunk. They HAVE to face the trunk, anyone running them the other way is not getting the biggest bass response they can. You will hear more bass when they face away from you (out the rear), than if they faced you (towards the front of the car)

The ones made to go behind the seats of a truck with no back seat face front. My faces rear, but that is because it is in a bandpass which actually ports the sound out the back. Might depend if your trunk is open or not. I also leave one of the back seats down so the sound isn't blocked.

Its better to have ur bow facing up towards ur trunk lid cause the sound will bounce off alot better

does not matter. there's a city legend it is recommended to place the magnet dealing with the engine, although this is not correct. direction with low frequency sounds cant be detected by ability of the human ear. the main needed concern to remember approximately bass is that the sound does not extremely improve till the sound has traveled some thing like 100ft.

facing the trunk... that will make more echoing... the more echoing that you have the louder the bass
