I am running a full alpine setup and whenever im driving around town my subs automatically shut off what is the cause of this?

more than likely, your amps are getting over heated. mine do the same thing. If you unplug the amp for a few minutes or try to cool it off, when you plug it back in it will turn back on. The more power, you pump into the faster its going to heat up and turn off.

I have an alpine amp too and it happens to me somtimes.... most alpine amps have the feature that shuts the amp off to keep your subs from getting too hot or going louder then there capable.....

Well, even though your system is matched, it isn't made to run 'on blast' for more than a short period of time. You are overheating your amp.
You should never turn your system higher than 50% and you should only listen to it at 30% most of the time.
Do yourself, your ears, and your neighbors a favor, and keep your system at a reasonable level. If you can't do that, consider adding cooling fans to your amp.

could be a lose connection, or you amp might be giving too little or too much power (sounds like too little). If your subs/amp take ALOT of power from the battery, your battery might not be able to recharge itself quick enough to power the amp/subs

Does your sub have an auto on? If so it might turn on and off depending on whether or not it has a signal.

I hear to a classic rock station, yet for some reason I hate Mick Jagger's voice. i will take lots of the Rolling Stones stuff, yet Sympathy For the devil in basic terms would not artwork for me. in any respect.

I would say its your amp over heating also... Add another amp if you wanna blast for a longer time. I can get you another...

your over-powering your amp.... buy a bigger amp.
