What do you reccomend?

I'm single and young and plan on going to Cali just to relax. I don't really do the club scene so if you could reccomend a good place to just unwind I'd appriciate it.

Go either to Hermosa Beach or Laguna Beach .. walk around, have a coffee at one of the waterfront places, bring a book, enjoy the sun and chill

I would also recommend Laguna Beach. Ignore that insipid show, it has nothing to do with the real Laguna Beach. Hotel rates are cheaper in the off season and it is not as crowded.
