Im a new puppy owner and was wondering if anyone had any info. on this breed. Iv had her for a few days and was wondering if her weight was "healthy" at this stage? Also, in regards to growth -does anyone have any info. on how much I can expect her to come to weigh? And also, at what point should I expect her coat to begin to grow more dense? Please help.

Her weight sound okay. She may be small dog. My chihuahua was 1 lb 8 oz at 9 weeks old and she weighs about 5 pounds. I have a friend who had a dog that weighed less than a pound a 6 weeks and end up being like 15 pounds full grown (the vet even accused the breed of selling the dog too young, though even though the dog really was 6 weeks old). This dog was poodle mix of some kind (I can't remember the other breed) so with mixes, they can get larger than their puppy size would indicate.

I would expect her to weigh around 4lbs at her maximum weight, maybe as much as 5. But she is going to be a tiny girl! Any time a dog is that small they run the risk of getting injured such as breaks and fractures. You also want to watch out for signs of illness, the little ones are very prone to colds and intestinal issues because their bodies don't produce enough immunities to disease. You should have less of these problems by the time she is full grown.

It really depends on how big her parents were. If they were tiny, it stands to reason that she'd be really small also. That weight sounds pretty normal, but she should be gaining weight. She should be getting bigger as the months go by. I'd say she should be about 10 lbs, really depending on how big the parents were. Take her to a vet if you're really concerned.
