no i do not agree with what she was telling you. my grandfather died because of smoking. now if God didn't love us people than he would not have made us! now i definitely do not believe God told her that because God loves us and he does not want us to be killing ourselves with things like that. for those who don't believe that God loves them better start reading their bible.
John.3:16...
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD; THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
Romans.5:8...
BUT GOD COMMENDETH HIS LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR THE US.
i believe that the devil himself was speaking to her! because there is a devil. really there is more than one devil which is the devil and his angels. satan is real! he is the one who gives us temptations. he is the one who is responsible for all the crimes in the world. i will pray for her that God may help her understand. i hope she will find out the truth. may God bless her!!!

True Christian Here,
The fact that God would actually say that is ludicrous, God see's
and hopes we do as a Temple in which you keep clean "inside" mind, soul, spirit, as well as the "outside." I don't see this threw
her actions, nor do I see justice in knowingly she is subjecting her innocent children to breath in second-hand smoke. Who in no means of say what Mommy is doing. If she said God told her
it was o.k., her & I must have different ones. I in means her, just being honest and I know that's what u want,a straight up answer. I believe you will do the right thing. I'm sorry if it wasn't what u wanted 2 here, but honesty is the best policy. But does it make
any sense what I'm saying to you?
I wish you all the best My Friend

How can somebody make wisecracks about her if they don't know who she is? Anyway, I think she is allowed to have her own beliefs. Your version of religion may be different from her's and that's ok, as long as nobody is physically hurting others along the way. I am also divorced and also have two children and I couldn't smoke around them. I tried it when I was 14, didn't like it, and never did it again. Religions do say not to commit suicide and I agree with you that it is a slow suicide. But nobody can force another to believe as they do. Even if they could, why do it? What satisfaction is there in forcing somebody to believe when you yourself know that they aren't doing it from the heart? How do you get pleasure out of it if they are only doing it under the threat of violence and force?

She does have a point, God loves her. But that's not the point. The point is that she has to make these decisions for herself. If you want to step away from religion and talk from a purely theosophical standpoint you could say that she needs to learn some kind of a lesson from this situation, whether it be to stop smoking or maybe just regain some control over her circumstances. The trick is not to try to change others or question their position but to seek the positive outcome for every event. Sometimes it's just a lot harder to see than others.

She may be a little slow witted, but my concern is the answer you gave her. That's were free will comes in. God did make herbs, trees plants and all other things grown in the ground. Including the tobacco leaves. The free will is smoke this as much as you want. Its not the plant killing her....Its the tar that the tobacco companies has put into this product that kills people. It turns their lungs black and fills up their spores and their lungs cant expand to breath. Eventually, this tar becomes a flesh eating mechanism that that scientist calls CANCER.She isn't killing herself by enjoying one of our wonderful plants that gives way to relaxation, its our own government that turns everything evil.

no i don't agree with what she was saying and i doubt that God told her those things. reason being that the bible teaches that our bodies are temples where the Holy Spirit lives and dwells. the scripture says to be ye Holy as your Father in heaven is Holy. Paul wrote that he had to buffet (discipline) his body in order that his body would be his slave and not the other way around. she is also wrong in the fact that God does judge us for what we say, do, think etc.... we as Christians are to be like Christ. that is what the word Christianity means (Christ-like or little Christ ones). i doubt that if Christ were sitting in a room with her, that she would feel comfortable smoking in front of Him. Christians are called to be in this world and not of this world. part of that means that we should not be letting things of this world control us. Smoking is an addiction, that is not of Christ. she is weakening Christ by saying that He does not mind her smoking. she is very confused. Christ can give her the very deliverance that she needs if she would only surrender to Him.

Your friend doesn't believe in the Creator of tobacco. The Creator who is none other than Almighty God, Holiest of the Holy! you would do well to correct her or suggest that she read the bible. i do not agree with her. If she is hearing voices, perhaps she needs professional help. If you believe in God, and I hope you do, I would like you to pray for her. I also invite us all (Christians) to pray on behalf of this woman who may be confused. May God Bless her and keep her! Amen!

Jesus did not say do not smoke or don't drink.as a Christian we have our own conviction.smoking or drinking is not a sin but if you do it to destroy your body is not good because our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.Paul advised Timothy to drink a little amount of alcohol....and also stated in the Bible that don't get drunk with wine but with the Holy Spirit.
i think that woman has a problem or maybe she is emotionally depressed and needs some encouragement, enlightenment and moral support....smoking is only her scapegoat.

She is honestly crazy. No joke.
A lot of people seem to hear voices in their head, and I know for one reason that God would probably mind her smoking. Voices in the head mean you're insane, seriously. I would stop talking to her.

I am a Christian. My husband smokes. It's a strong addiction that he cannot seem to overcome. I do believe it's a sin to harm your body. I also believe that putting a Big Mac and fries in your mouth or overindulging in something is bad for your body. I see them as the same...
