Why might the kiss kill him- even if the singer has "high hopes?"

ok...Dashboard Confessional, any ways he's saying that his hopes are high 4 a kiss, and even if that kiss killed him, he would want it, and so basicly he would die for the kiss!.....i love that song!!!!

She is dreaming for so much, expecting and wanting so much, and like a balloon that has been blown up to beyond capacity, she will burst with just a kiss. It will be too much for her to handle, because she has placed so much weight on this one kiss.

That the anticipation of the kiss is so great that the actual event would be almost too much...but they still want it.
