The bible doesn't mention dinosaurs, because ancient man didn't know about them. God didn't create the dinosaurs evolution did. According to those religious folk all that you wrote doesn’t exist, and never did. Since they have faith, and faith is the belief in something that can’t be proved, they can ignore science. They can also use this belief to ignore what is as plain as the nose on your face. The bible claims that the Earth is the unmoving firmament therefore the universe has to revolve around that. Galileo proved this wrong with his refinement of the telescope and his observations of Jupiter and its moons. For this ‘evil’ act he was confined to his home for the rest of his life (oh 300 years later Pope John Paul reversed that decision, but I doubt it makes much difference to Galileo).

The bible has to be taken with a grain of salt; it is a work written by men who were inspired by God. It is not verbatim truth and it isn’t even a good guide since the last time it was updated was in the 12 century (that’s when the biblical heroes all became white). I think that religion has its place to set a moral standard and to teach people how to live their lives. Jesus set the best example of all.

The problem with the bible is that like the first amendment you can’t have it both ways. You can’t give one person the freedom to talk about their religion without giving that same freedom to other religions. If you claim that the bible is a historical document then you can’t pick and chose which things are correct, it is a all or nothing situation. This is one of the central errors to Christianity and Islam.

Depends on what you believe. Carbon dating suggests the world is 4.5 billion years old, while a literal acceptance of the book of genesis suggests the world is 6 thousand years old. Science versus Religion, Reason versus Faith. The dinosaurs were wiped out by a catastrophic event, and humans, if you believe in evolution, evolved from the small rats living deep in the earth's crust. God created everything the way it is, according to the bible, about 5 thousand to 6 thousand years ago in 6 days. I've heard as a reason for fossils of dinosaurs was the great flood of 40 days and 40 nights, but there aren't many logical answers for dinosaurs when it comes to the creation story.

The Creator took 500 million years and His creation could have gone either way. Instead of humans it could have been flying squirrels ruling the world.
There is even Evolution in the history of Religions!!!! Where's the magic? If there was a God it would not have allowed the proliferation of "wrong" religions, it would have sent One and One only message and messenger ONCE.
