Pineapples are not a citrus fruit. They are actually grown in a bush, and the flesh of the fruit is a composite of the flesh of a bunch of flowers being squashed together. to form a pineapple. Citrus grows in a tree and all citrus has classic similarities - skin, flesh, scent, oils, etc.. They are no where close to a pineapple.

Pineapple gal! No, they are not a citrus fruit. They are a tropical fruit & grown here in Australia & other tropical or sub tropical countries. Edit: I forgot to mention, that a pineapple plant belongs to the bromiliad family of plants.
