first of all he is in 8th grade and i am a sophmore in high school. it isnt for real or anything, just a school dance. we carpool to school together, and are pretty good friends. my friend and i were talking about the dance in the car yesterday. i mention that i wanted to go b/c i found a really pretty dress on sale, but that i didn't want to go alone. then he said that he wanted to go with me. so i said "and you know what everyones is gonna say?" then he said" i doesn't matter what they say, i'll say your my hot date!"
im not sure if he was serious or not. what should i do?? please help!!!

as you get older age will not matter, but while you are a sophomore and bring an 8th grader, you will definitely be made fun of... you may not care, but that is something you can avoid and probably not want to go through... It may be unfair but that is life

at this age, yes it is too young. However when you reach a mature age like 18 and above, no its not, because two years difference isn't that big of a deal
