since it is a dog we're talking about he/she might not be so patient for the ice thing and may be tempted to eat the peanut butter of her hair so i think you should cut the putty out don't worry the hair grows back any way

Peanut Butter. Rub it in and the oil from it will allow the silly putty to come "un-stuck" to the hair shaft. You should be able to then just wash it out of the hair. This works on gum and other sticky stuff.

Try rubbing the silly putty between 2 ice cubes. Then you can grab chunks with your fingers. It might not be as messy as peanut butter.

Not to be rude or anything but this is the dog questions, last time I checked, silly putty in hair is not realated to dogs whatsoever. Anyway, you might want to try peanut butter.

peanut butter gets gum out...I don't see why it won't get silly putty out...otherwise try ice....but the oils in peanut butter should get it to slide right out! Good luck!!!

Rub peanut butter into it, and it will desolve and come out.
Aso, glycerine. Simple Green, and Fast Orange will fix it and Dawn dish soap is likely to work, as well..rubbed in to the mass..

Rub ice on it and pick it out, otherwise, peanut butter works, too!
