he has a rorgue cooker and it weighs two and a half tonnes, give the guy a break, he is a talented guy and he works hard and earned his money, why not buy the best, its the tools of his trade. Moan about the amount of money the royal family take away from many worthy, needy people in this country, not a guys choice in cooker he bought himself

I'm afraid i still have to disagree, what he paid for his cooker is in proportion to what he earns, as a percentage, same as u with yours, and as a chef i have to say that no all results r not the same, a lot of it is down to talent and an affinity with your ingredients, but good tools enhance the result too, its finding that balance that make a good chef-not his ettiquette

Humble pie indeed...did my cheffin' city & guilds almost 33 years ago and have never spent more than £250 on cookers and pots since then. Think of what sort of 'ouse £300,000 could get you in Norwich - yes...almost a palace!
Maybe it's a gold Aga (if such things exist).

fi x...relax! Mr. Ramsay has jumped the hoops of courses etc. and has made himself famous - and to impress the socio-economic C2DE's, has added colourful language! Why not buy the best? But...the results - of say, a Kate & Sidney pie will be the same no matter what you use to mix or bake it!
Not moan-y or snarly...just amazed!
