Yep, that's Christianity, blaming the child for what the parents do wrong. The Klingon Empire does this too!
And, praytell, how is that 'bastard child' supposed to live for ten generations?

The Jewish interpretation of the word 'mamzer' in this context is the child from an illegitimate relationship, such as premarital sex.
To answer your question: I don't think God is a Nazi.

a mamzer is not a b*stard, thats just the closest english word people could come up with. a mamzer is a child of an incestuous or adulterous relationship between two jews. "shall not enter into the congregation of the L-rd" is fancy speak for they can't marry a jew (unless its another mamzer).

Hey, what part of "Chosen People" are you confused about?
Are you a sincere seeker or just trying to find excuses to dismiss the Judeo-Christian religion as irrelevant?
If you're just being a doofus I don't want to waste my time unraveling this mystery to you. Pearls before swine you know.

He intended for the Hebrew people to keep themselves pure. He told them not to intermarry with the other peoples because doing so would cause them to follow the other people's gods.

Woah! Good thing for all of those "basters" out there that the Law of Moses is no longer under effect under the new Testament.
--------------------------------------
Talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people. He said to them: "You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with a Gentile or visit him. But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean."

Sucks for them. Good thing even the Jews don't pay attention to THEIR book, the old testament...don't see any reason why idiotic christians should take it so seriously.

Hosea 2:23
I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called 'Not my loved one. ' I will say to those called 'Not my people, ' 'You are my people'; and they will say, 'You are my God.' "There are people of spirt and those who are not of spirt... yes there is mixed blood.
