If I haven't worked at all from December 2005 thru today am I supposed to get a W2 form from the company I worked for in 2005 for doing 2006 taxes?

You should have gotten your w2 from the year in question during that tax year. If you have not worked at all in 2006, then you won't get a w2 form from the company. When i got my w2 i just went to www.expresstaxrefund.com and filed there. So simple.

If you haven't worked a day in 2006, then there is no need to file a tax return--and you don't get any money back for not making enough for the year of 2006.

No, you would have got that last year. That would have been for the 2005 tax year which was due in April of 2006.

No, your employer is only required to send you a W-2 for what you actually earned in 2006, not 2005. If you didn't earn any money in 2006, I recommend you still file a tax return anyway as you may be eligible for the Earned Income Credit.

If you had no earned income, you won't get a W2 Form. As far as the EIC is concerned, if you had no earned income you do not qualify for it. You must have earned income of at least $1.00.
