A particular key combination (apparently ``Control-Alt-Shift-S'' by default) on the keyboard will bring up Spector Pro's splash screen and a password dialog box. A user who happens across the correct key combination would find that the software is running.

installing firewall software can usually find most of the stuff that slows down your computer including spectorpro/spectorsoft.. some good programs 2 use are mcafee antivirus software, norton anti virus
do a google search & some good things will come up

they do a great job at hiding their software..it is very hard to detect. there is a key combination that brings up the control panel so you can login. it is standard keystrokes and are the same for all unless changed by the person who installed the sw.
