if your hair is thick and tough to straighten then get a titanium ceramic flat iron. In my own experience, karmin straighteners have been the best because they're cheaper than ghd, they last longer than chi and they're professional. They work really fast and make your hair really shiny. The only problem is that you have to get them online at a professional website.

GHDs are crap!! ty LARGO they specailise in afro caribbean hair /very thick hair i brought them and I have nvr looked back!

the 'fat' ghds. they are the best but remember to get protector with them. there £126 in good salons the 'normal ' ones are £99. happy hairdo's x

i dont have that type of hair but the CHI ceramic hair straightener works really well. Make sure you get pre straightening stuff because it could burn your hair. Have fun anyways! :)
