God became one of us and his name was Jesus and he lived on this earth just like us he had a physical body and became hungry and thirsty and tired. He cared about the poor and the outcasts and he spent time with them and he also challenged the rich and the religious. He suffered unjustly under the justice system of the time and ended up dying on the cross. Through doing this he took the punishment we deservied for our sins so that we mignt have a personal relationship with him.

If God was one of us, he/she would find it very hard to survive on this earth. After all, things have changed a lot since God or a messenger of God (depending on what your religion is) last visited this planet.
I frankly think the person would be so mentally traumatised by the everyday events that are going on here, he/she would decide that it is time to end this world and recreate the whole thing from scratch.

Well . . . in a way you are god
You can rule your own world
You can make your own mind up
You can do what you want to do
You don't have to do anything anyone wants you to do
Problem is . . . if you take it too far, you will end up with a judge or worse (some crazy fool with a gun) in your face and then they will have their turn at being your 'higher power' or god if you want to look at it that way . . .
2nd problem . . . if you die, and I think you will . . . nobody gets out of here alive . . . you will meet GOD and then you'll have some 'splainin' to do . . .
(a little Ricky Ricardo accent there at the end)
it's worth thinking about . . .

If you're talking about GOD ALMIGHTY, he can never be one of us. HE is the One Who created us. Man was created in His image and likeness.

just a slob like one of us?
but seriously...
personally i think that everyone/thing possesses part of the divine, and that everyone/thing collectively makes up the divine. so in a way 'god' is one of us, and all of us.

It's not that HE is part of us.
It's US that are a part of HIM.
If HE is the cosmos and everything in it, then we must be the sub-particles that form just a tiny microbe of his being.
