Generally, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (KJV, Matthew 18:20) - I'm a Christian.
More specifically (as far as my own beliefs go), "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." (KJV, Matthew 16:18-19) - I'm a Catholic.

It depends on the church. Some are stricter than others. The ones I go are more open to different things. They believe in serving God by accepting him into your life. It doesn't tie you down, but in a way it does. It's like a structure to hold on to. I pray every night and though I don't go to church every sunday, when I do I always have a sense of belonging. If that makes sense? lol.

The Christian church is a community built on lies & deceit. The aim of the Christian church is to brainwash innocent children & vulnerable adults. They strive to supress society's ability to live a happy and good life with all their ridiculous religious 'rules'

well...by definition, its the building...but in christianity, the church is like a family. a group of people that gather together to worship God together, and learn and share ideas with each other. this is the original way the church should be...but today's churches have morphed into more of a business...

Christians will describe it as a wonderful place of light truth and happiness and a place to commune to God.
I would call it the same. Except that it is also biased and some members are what some call brainwashed also rude and mean.
I mean no offence. But it's how i think and how i answer.

Mostly corrupt and not understanding the bible. I think most churches these days you have to go to and take it with salt.
It is good for fellowship, worship and for keeping accountable, but every sermon you hear should be followed up on your own at home with your bible.
Also, I think Christians should venture out of the church building every once in a while and expirience the world that God created.
