My husband has a weekend pass this weekend. Is there a hotel on Fort Benning? Would I be able to stay there? How much does it cost for one night?

Please excuse me for calling it a hotel. The base we were stationed at called it a hotel so I assumed that every base called the temorpary living quaters a "hotel".

There is but it's usually full (and not too easy to find) There are alot of hotels and such off exits 6-10 but the ones off exit 10 are newer and nicer. Whatever you do don't stay at the Laquinta Inn or the Days Inn. They are soooo gross. (stayed at one during hubby's day pass and one the night before he deployed) Also stay far far far away from anything on Victory Dr (exit 1) Those are frequented by the ...ummmm.... "working women". As far as prices that varies depending on if their are alot of graduations or holidays etc. Ask for military discounts because most (not all) offer them.

Yes there is but it is a 1st come 1st serve basis. Check their website for prices as they change. There are some nice hotels at Exit 7 within a 15 min. drive. I think we paid around $50 a night for Comfort Inn & it had a breakfast buffet & a get aquianted night buffet (cheese & crackers & wine & beer - I do not drink so I never went to it) Stay way from the Veteran Drive area as there is a reason it is called VD Drive. It is a really nice area.

There is actually a hotel on post but you have to get in a waiting list. In other words, you're better off going off post. There are at least 3 hotels that I know of just outside the gates of Ft. Benning. Unfortunately, they are on the same strip as the strip clubs.......

First of all -- it is called Temporary Quarters, and not a hotel ... and for that .. you need to look at the website for Ft. Benning, GA (there are links to Temporary Family Housing there -- but if he is in training ... he needs to ASK his Drill Sgt if that is an option and then he can CALL himself to set it up). For they will ask for HIS military information ... and you may NOT have that information available to you at this time (especially if he is in training).

OTHERWISE .. there are plenty of Civilian Hotels/Motels around Ft. Benning, GA for your husband and you to visit at during the weekend. The prices vary, but if he has a Military ID (which if he is in training he does), they will give a Military Discount to you for the weekend.

Most US installations have hotels, they are usually lower rates than hotels in town, and you are authorizied to stay there.
