No, they simply don't believe in any gods. I've never heard on say what you claim they believe.

actually it's more complicated than how you summarized it up. most of the atheists beliefs is based on the evolution laws and that is a really deep science. some evolution scientists proved that the row material that make a living organism like amino acids and other stuff like that can be made through nitrogen, oxygen and water if they were exposed to some conditions that are similar to the ones that existed when there was no life on earth. it's a complicated science, if you read some about it maybe you will get a glimpse why they believe so. others believe so because of different reasons like why there are so much evil if there was a god, and some think that there must be no god because they cannot get the purpose of life whatsoever. everybody got their own point of view that makes sense somehow if you were in their shoes.

We believe life came from a very complex and long process of chemistry combining under the right conditions to form simple proteins, which eventually became RNA under a known process and eventually DNA and then cells. It is called science.

But raise an entire person from the dead? Well,, with the right technology it the distant future,, possibly. Did they have such technology 2000 years ago?

No.

Possibly, because in the entire history of mankind, only 1 person is "alleged" to have done this, thousands of years ago. There is absolutely no factual evidence to back this up.

As an atheist, I recognize that life coming from non-life is an unproven theory. However there is nothing supernatural about it.

There is some evidence to back up the life from non-life theory. Scientists have taken chemicals they believe existed way back when life started, and subjected them to conditions they believe existed back when life may have started. What they found was that the chemicals had formed more complex molecules common in very early organisms.

Why do you believe what you believe? Have you thought it all out very carefully and examined it for its logic and truth? Have you looked at all the evidence for and against what you believe and decided after thorough consideration, that what you believe is true?

Really, here's a book you might want to read: "Why We Believe What We Believe," by Andrew Newberg. It's got science in it, but don't let that put you off.

I think it might help you to understand the nature of belief itself, and allow you to treat those who believe things other than what you believe with a touch more humanity.

I am atheist and i dont believe that life came from non-life! If you look at the complexity of life evolutionists would wake up.

I am Raelian and we believe that life was intelligently designed by human scientists from another world, we also have an explanation about the rising of the dead too, through cloning - only then will the dead come back to life.

Why are you assuming that? Life may have always existed as atoms or whatever. Why is it that everything needs to be explained by a humanoid figure or some kind of male creator? Come on, zombies and vampires!

Well we have evidence that supports the possibility that DNA evolved from RNA which created small, single celled organisms which then evolved into life as we know it. We only have books and pop culture that reference anything living after dying.

No, we believe that life evolved from chemical soup, and it is still evolving in the deep ocean trenches, around black smokers, the vents of plate tectonics.

We believe in empirical research, which throws up theories, which are then tested, and the best one adopted until a better theory arises. The bible has not got any new theories, and most of it is contradictory.

You make a generalization. I'm sure you could not have polled every atheist to ask their belief on the subject. Assumptions do not do anyone any good on any side of an issue. And no, I'm not atheist, I'm agnostic.

Um, why is this difficult? Life evolved slowly, after billions of years. Atheists don't claim it popped into being. THAT would be the equivilent of someone rising from the dead.

Don't build a straw man of what atheists believe, and debunk that! Debunk what they really believe. It's more intellectually honest and it doesn't reduce them to hissing freakouts so often.
