Trying to find a hotel on a budget price. Was told to check Priceline but not sure of bidding for somewhere I don't know where I will be staying and not able to cancel if needed to.

Yes, you can bid on specific hotels. So check out what you want before you bid...

Stick with the stars!. I have used Priceline with very good luck. I ask for a 4 star hotel in a specific area...got the Grand Hyatt in Tampa Bay once for $55.00 per night !
