I take it that you are talking about the menu that always used to be at the top of Internet Explorer.

If so, all you need to do is go to a clear area adjacent to the TAB bars (also next to HOME) and click on the right mouse button and a menu will pop up with various options to choose from. Click on the first one "Menu Bar" with the left mouse button and the "File, edit, view, favourites, tools & Help" will appear near the top left side of the page.

Right click next to one of the tabs and select 'menu bar', it should then re-appear, like magic! :D

Revert back to IE6 and everything will come back :-)
