It depends on the girl. My friend wants something pricey and flashy, and the satisfaction that her guy thinks she's worth it...
I want to feel valued, and so I am impressed with gifts that took thought and time, yes, even home-made ones!
Flowers that were chosen because they smell nice win out over chocolates that would make me fat (or fat-ter...he should KNOW that I'm trying to lose weight, and not sabotage my diet...).
Investigate...talk to her mother, her best friend (that's NOT a blabber mouth!!), etc, and get the scoop.
One of the nicest gifts I ever saw was a CD that the guy had burned of songs that professed his feelings for her, and he made his own CD case, complete with a commentary on each song (a VERY personal commentary!). The cover was complete with pictures....you could tell that hours and hours and hours had gone into this project, and every time she listend to it, she got warm fuzzies about him all over again!

1st off if it is a first Valentine together , A alot of thoughthas to go into it like the things that she likes or maybe you two have a little inside joke about something , and you can get a replica of say a little base ball if you spent a great time at a game , also it depends on how long you've been together like I said if it a first holiday together a stuffed animal , flowers , candy are all exceptable if it's been longer than a couple of months I suggest a lil locket or a charm bracelet. Good Luck

You got one answer that pretty much did it for ages 15 to like 20. If you guys are around that age then do something cute maybe a picnic in the park and then a long walk or something. If you guys are older than thats not a bad idea as well seeing as I would like it also if you want to get her something material as in a necklace or something i'm sure she would cherish it. Good Luck Have fun this Valentines Day!!

It all depends on how much to send. A really cute idea is to get a build a bear and put your voice in it saying something sweet.

I know you asked for women to answer but, take her to the mall and watch and listen to clues as to what she is interested in and what catches her eye. If you watch and listen, she will "tell" you what she wants. My two cents bro.
