six months or older to change to adult food or what ever your vet say. and the older dog will put the pup in it's place. by not hurting the pup,the older dog will let him know he is being too rough. do not worry too much just be able to be there just in case the older dog gets too mean. but it won't .

The puppy should start eating adult food at 1 yr old. Your adult dog will teach him some manners and as he gets older the puppy will probably start to get more gentle.

large breed puppies should eat puppy food for a year unless there is something in the bloodline that indicates otherwise. the breeder of my australian sheperd suggested going to adult food after 6 months due to activity level. less active= adult food. as far as rough play w/ other dog, if he gets too rough the other dog will correct him. If necessary supervise their play with puppy on lead to establish pack leader which should be you, use sound and hand correction if needed. watch dog whisperer!

Both are good food. I am doing the same with my 4 Month old Schnauzer. I have him on Purina One, but soon as start running out I will switch to Royal Canine Puppy mix.
I like that they make food according to the breed.

ROYAL CANINE IS A GOOD FOOD IF YOU CHANGE HIS FOOD GRADUALLY CHANGE IT OVER A COURSE OF A WEEK. YOU SHOULD REALLY KEEP HIM ON PUPPY OR JUNIOR FOOD TILL HE IS ABOUT 16-18 MONTHS OLD THIS WAY YOU WILL BE SURE THAT YOUR PUPPY WILL HAVE EVERY THING HE NEEDS FOR HIS GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT .HOPE THAT HELPS.
YOUR OTHER DOG SHOULD TELL YOUR PUPPY OFF IF HE HAS ENOUGH ITS IMPORTANT THAT THEY SORT IT OUT BETWEEN THEM WHO THEM WHO THE LEADER OF THE PACK IS JUST KEEP A EYE ON THEM.IF HE PLAYS TO RUFF SAY NO! AND DON'T GIVE HIM ANY ATTENTION TILL HE CALMS DOWN THEN GIVE HIM PRAISE.
