Oral herpes can be passed through oral sex & than if you had vaginal sex after having oral sex it coul be passed again. It can not be passed without touching the sore. Oral herpes is uaully HSV1 & is not as contagious when you do not have a outbreak. 80% of the US population have HSV1, I prob. have it...young children have it, you are not alone. Just do not engage in mouth to mouth kissing, oral sex when you have a blister/cold sore. You may want to be tested however a simple blood test HSV1 is the most common to have oraly, but you can also have HSV2 (more common in genitals) oraly & those outbreaks tend to require more attention. Hope I was of help

Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.
Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years.

the first guy is right. oral herpes is type 1, sexual herpes is type two, its two different things. u cant transmit type 1 herpes unless u have an active open sore and most people have oral herpes its just dormant. you CANNOT transmit oral herpes sexually unless u have oral sex while you have an active type 1 herpes sore.
