I have a very cool game that is DOS based and wont run under XP, even the windows compatibilty wizard couldn't help. is there a software or a method to make this DOS based-game work under windows XP? Thanks in advance!

Aside from that, you could use a thumb drive and install DOS and your game.
That's what I did. Though the sound does not work for some reason.

Dosbox is a DOS emulator that should help you out. I use it to run old DOS games in XP.

DOSBOX is your answer. I've used it to play MANY of my old DOS games on my WindowsXP system. Works like a champ!

nope.

But you can start your computer in dos mode by using a dos startup disk and then running the program.
