A peral of great price is something that Jesus taught a parable on. He stated that a the kingdom of heaven is like a peral of great price that when a merchant man had found he went and sold all that he had and bought it. The picture here is of salvation. When you recieve Christ as your saviour is is such a great treasure that you are willing to give all that you have in order to gain it. Physical things can't compare with what the Lord gives to us. And if we realize it's value we will make sure to aquire it.

Jesus is the Pearl of Great Price. Some pearls are far more exquisite than others. In order to "gain" from it -- in order to possess it, one needs to make sacrifices. If you were hunting for a new house and you suddenly found the most desirous house you could imagine and just had to have it, you'd probably re-arrange your budget and make plenty of sacrifices (like maybe putting off that 10-day vacation in Hawaii) in order to have the house. What are you willing to sacrifice in order to "possess" Christ -- the Pearl of Great Price? Would you give up drinking? drugs? Porno?

Okay.
Mat 13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
Mat 13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
The beginning of Matthew 13 starts with sowing the Word.
God's Word is a pearl of wisdom.
A goodly pearl of great price.
ETERNAL LIFE is this pearl.

i'm ignoring the extra information as you seam truly indignant and that i'm advantageous your concerns are not directed at me. My pal is a Jehovah Witness (i'm no longer) and he or she defined to me in the destiny about her faith. It helped plenty because previously I had, from television shows that portrayed the religion in a foul mild, idea that they were mind washed. She defined the religion, why she observed it. She become continually waiting to respond to my calm questions with a comfortable reaction. We were waiting to be associates for 2 years after she defined to me why and that i'm advantageous we nonetheless will be if i did not flow. What i'm attempting to assert to the those which have decide (which they seam to have executed out of your ad) is so you might not decide a faith previously you've been in it or were close associates with someone that believes in it. as well no longer all Jehovah Witness are a similar, there will be someplace by some ability a man or woman it really is mind washing human beings lower than the pretend pretense of religion, it takes position each and each of the time with all religions (ever seen the movie Jesus Camp?).

Its as if a man finds a field with a treasure of great price buried in it.
And he goes and sells all he has so he can buy the field.......The kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, which a man found , and for joy over it he goes and sells all he has and buys the field.
THE PARABLE OF THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE....The kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls. And for Joy of it he goes and sells all that he has to buy it. Mathew 13:44,45,46

Jesus used the parable of a pearl which was purchased by a man who sold all he had to get it.
He asociated it with the kingdom of God as something that is not attainable but only to those that would purchase it with all they have.
the pearl of great price is also the name of a book in the mormon church. it was allegedly translated from papyras by the power of God and the Urrim and Thummin.

:Give all your money to the Church.
For the Kingdom of Heaven is that pearl, in exchange for which the trader giveth all that he hath, and findeth himself richer than before. Now pass the collection plate!
That's my cynicism talking. And yet, as is occasionally - though by no means usually - the case with the parables in the gospels, there IS actual moral value to be extracted here - material things are not merely worthless, but incomensurable with spiritual wealth. The problem is that in the gospels as they stand, "spiritual wealth" is always defined as blind acceptance of the salvationist theology, which is a spiritual dead-end.
