I don't think age should be such a factor as much as readiness. I am 30 with my first pregnancy and I was truly not ready for it before now.
I readily admitted that I was too selfish before now to bring a child in the world. I liked sleeping in and doing what I wanted when I wanted, spending money any way I chose. Then something changed, I bought a house and got more settled- I wanted there to be more in my life than just what I wanted to do, so my husband and I made a decision to have a baby, and that's what we did.
I think if you're honest with yourself you will know when it's time to have a baby.

Thats the question isn't it? Age old and time honored lol. In my honest oppinion there is no right age. The right age group in my oppinion is 20-40. But it depends on circumstances. You should try to be in a place where you can finacially support the children (I say try because who amoung us can ACTUALLY afford children? lol) I do think that anyone under the age of 18 is deffinately too young, but some of them make wonderful mothers none the less. I think that women over 40 are probablely very good mothers too, it's just that there is a much higher risk of complications and birth defects at this point. But these are just my oppinions.

I think the best healthiest age to have a baby is between 22 and 32. Too young is anyone under 18 because your body is still growing.. and too old is anyone in there 40 because it poses a health risk to you and your baby.

You should be old enough to be settled and able to devote 100% of your time and energy to your baby, at least for awhile.
On the other end, I'd say 40 or so. After that, it's High Risk for both mother and child.

as much as many people(including me) would like to have a baby in there teenage and early adulthood years, i would say at least 21 or 22. at least by then you ar eusually finicially secure and had time to experience your "fun years" in life. iwould say 35-40 is getting a little to old. it can cause complications with the pregnancy and also puts a woman at a higher risk for breast cancer
